Marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to excellence in chemical manufacturing, Mr. Dinker Rasiklal Vakil started with a vision to deliver high-quality chemical products. Mr. Vakil established the company during a transformative era in India’s industrial landscape.

Belami Fine Chemicals was incorporated as a private limited entity in 1973, cementing a significant milestone in its growth and development. This transition to a private limited company allowed Belami to expand its operations and enhance its ability to serve a growing customer base. The incorporation not only solidified the company’s legal foundation but also positioned it for future growth, enabling it to build on the legacy of excellence established by its founder, Mr. Dinker Vakil.

In 1986, Mr. Mitran Vakil, the son of Belami Fine Chemicals’ founder Mr. Dinker Vakil, joined the company after graduating from the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly known as UDCT). His entrance into the company brought a fresh perspective and a wealth of knowledge, marking a new chapter in Belami’s evolution. Mitran’s academic background and innovative approach played a key role in driving the company’s growth and advancing its commitment to excellence in the chemical industry.

In 1994, Belami Fine Chemicals relocated to a new manufacturing unit in Navi Mumbai. This move was a testament to the company’s commitment to expanding its capabilities. The new facility provided enhanced production capacity, and a more efficient operational framework, enabling Belami to better meet the evolving needs of its diverse clientele and solidify its position as a leader in the chemical industry.

In 2007, Belami Fine Chemicals expanded its portfolio by launching a Speciality Chemicals Division. This strategic move allowed the company to diversify its offerings and tap into new markets. The division focused on developing and producing high-performance speciality chemicals tailored to meet the unique needs of various industries. This initiative not only reinforced Belami’s commitment to innovation but also positioned the company as a versatile player in the global chemical industry, further strengthening its reputation for excellence.

After studying and working in the US and UK for more than a decade, Nihar Vakil returned to India to join the legacy of Belami Fine Chemicals. His international experience and diverse expertise brought a global perspective to the family company. Nihar’s transition back to India and his role within Belami marked a new chapter of growth and innovation, enhancing the company’s capabilities and position in the global market.

Belami Fine Chemicals successfully completed the acquisition of land in the chemical zone of Saykha, Gujarat where a new state-of-the-art factory will be built. This strategic expansion will enable Belami to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and accommodate future growth. This development underscores Belami’s dedication to advancing its operations and maintaining its leadership in the chemical industry.
